Both the Pearson VUE and Thomson Prometric web sites have test center locators which can be used to find the testing center which is closest to your location. If you live in a major metropolitan area chances are there is at least one of these testing centers located there. The web sites also provide telephone numbers and maps to each test center. You can schedule an exam online, by telephone or by visiting the test center.
The cost for the A+ exams is $158.00 USD per exam. The cost for the Network + exam is $225.00 USD. This does not include taxes, vouchers, promotions, or membership discounts which you may qualify for. The exam number for the A+ Essentials Exam is 220-601. The elective exams are numbered 220-602, 220-603 and 220-604. The exam number for the Network+ Exam is N10-003.
The CompTIA A+ Certification requires that you pass the A+ Essentials exam plus one other "career track" exam. The exams may be taken in any order and there are no prerequisites for taking the exams. You are not required to take both exams on the same day and most people elect to take the exams separately.
Yes, if you have purchased one of our practice test products and need your Activation Key reissued to you we will do so at no additional charge. This might be required for example if your hard drive crashes and you did not make a printed copy of your purchase receipt. We retain copies of all purchase receipt email messages.

There are many types of training and study materials available which fall into two broad categories, instructor led and self study. Instructor led courses usually provide you with study materials for the course and can be a good choice if you need to become certified in a short period of time. Disadvantages are higher cost compared to self study programs, travel costs if the course is not offered at your location, and time off from work to attend the training.
Self study programs include textbooks, study guides, video and audio tapes, and computer based training. If you decide to pursue a self study program we recommend that you consider using more than one source of information in your training. Different authors have different ways of explaining concepts which may make it easier for you to understand. Multiple sources also tend to provide improved coverage of the exam material and a measure of confirmation that each source is correct. Do not place too much emphasis on product advertising claims when selecting your study materials.
Once you have your study materials in hand set apart a time each day for preparation and establish a tentative schedule for taking the exam. The time required for preparation will vary depending on your level of experience and there is no prescribed amount of time that is right for everyone. After you have had an opportunity to study all subject areas covered on the exam this would be a good time to consider using a practice test product. Practice tests provide an independent assessment of how well prepared you are, and also serve as a training tool to help you pick up additional points on the exam.
When you feel you are ready for the exam contact the test center and schedule for it as soon as possible, allowing time for any final review you feel is necessary. Do not stay up late trying to cram the night before the exam, you need to be well rested and alert so you can perform at your best on exam day.
No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase practice tests. After making your selection from our products page you will be redirected to the secure PayPal site for payment. If you do not have an account established with PayPal simply click the button beside "If you do not currently have a PayPal account" on the first payment screen. After entering your payment information you will be given the option to create a PayPal account for yourself. This is not required but may be convenient for you when making future purchases since a large number of online merchants collect payments using PayPal.
